PROCESSOS DE APRENDIzAGEM DE VIOLãO E GUITARRA EM CONTEXTO DE TRANSMISSãO MUSICAL NãO FORMAL

Resumo

ABSTRACT: This article is a synthesis of the monograph presented in 2004 as final work of the Course of Specialization in Musical Education in the Music School of UFMG. The research looked for to describe the procedures used by the participants of the Projeto Arena of the Culture of the City Hall of Belo Horizonte, when beginning to play acustic guitar and eletric guitar. These students, although admitting that they never had taken instrument classes, they already participate in musical activities in their communities. How did they learn how to play? Through interviews and observations of these students’ universe, as well as a literature discussion, it was aimed to understand this process of musical initiation.
RESUMO: Este artigo é uma síntese da monografia apresentada em 2004 como trabalho final do curso de especialização em Didática Musical, na Escola de Música da UFMG. A pesquisa buscou descrever os procedimentos utilizados pelos participantes do Projeto Arena da Cultura, da Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte, ao começar a tocar os instrumentos violão e guitarra. Esses alunos, embora admitindo que nunca tiveram aulas de instrumento, já participam de atividades musicais em suas comunidades. Como então eles aprenderam a tocar? Por meio de entrevistas e observações do universo desses alunos, assim como de um levantamento bibliográfico, objetivou-se compreender este processo de iniciação musical.
