A influência da atividade física no sistema imunológico: revisão integrativa

Evidências científicas indicam efeitos benéficos dos exercícios físicos em diversos aspectos da saúde física e mental dos praticantes. Eles podem prevenir e controlar o desenvolvimento de doenças por influência de vários sistemas corpóreos, inclusive o imunológico. Nesse sentido, este estudo buscou integrar dados que pudessem correlacionar a prática de exercícios físicos com os efeitos imunológicos em análise das diferentes modalidades e faixas etárias. Como metodologia, buscou-se artigos correlacionados nas bases de dados MEDLINE/PUBMED, LILACS e SciELO com os descritores "Exercise", "Physical Activity", "Immunity" e "Immune System". Foram avaliadas 264 referências separadas por título e resumo, onde através de fluxograma PRISMA compilamos uma amostragem para o estudo (n=11). Esses estudos demonstraram a relação entre exercício físico e sistema imunológico de forma muito diferente, alguns em relação ao envelhecimento do sistema, a processos inflamatórios crônicos, a expressão de genes específicos e até de células específicas como as natural killer ou função plaquetária. Verificou-se que exercícios aeróbicos podem aumentar a expressão de proteína supressora de tumor que se liga especificamente às quinases dependentes de ciclina CDK4 de células progenitoras endoteliais do sistema musculoesquelético, assim como as proporções de linfócitos, neutrófilos e de proteínas PD-1. Estudos associam os exercícios de força e de resistência de longo prazo à indução de alterações na expressão gênica relacionada ao perfil inflamatório crônico de baixo grau em células mononucleares. Alterações nos perfiz de citocinas e linfócitos T (CD4+/CD8+) e B (CD19+) foram observados em estudos envolvendo a prática esportiva. Existe, portanto, uma íntima relação entre a prática de atividade física e a modulação do sistema imunológico, especialmente na expressão de linfócitos. Apesar disso, essa relação é marcada pela complexidade e demanda novos estudos que avaliem especificamente cada mecanismo e sua relação com faixa etária dos grupos de indivíduos.
