Abstract

This study analyzes the impacts of the evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in contemporary society. While the ease of access to information has brought benefits such as time and cost savings, it also presents challenges such as the spread of fake news and content control on social media. The objective is to examine the limits of freedom of expression in the face of fake news and internet restrictions, which can affect democracy and the right to access accurate information. The research adopts a deductive method and relies on bibliographic and doctrinal sources to reflect on these issues.
