Adaptação Transcultural de Instrumento para avaliação de funcionalidade para pacientes com Câncer de Cabeça e Pescoço

Resumo

Introdução: O câncer de cabeça e pescoço e suas terapias podem impactar significativamente a funcionalidade e saúde dos pacientes. É crucial que os profissionais estejam atentos às possíveis deficiências estruturais e funcionais, limitações nas atividades, restrições na participação e aos fatores ambientais e pessoais que influenciam o contexto do paciente. Objetivo: O objetivo do presente estudo foi a adaptação transcultural, para o português do Brasil, de um instrumento de avaliação da funcionalidade após o tratamento do câncer de cabeça e pescoço. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo metodológico, desenvolvido em quatro etapas: tradução, síntese, retrotradução, revisão por comitê de especialistas e pré-teste. Dois tradutores bilíngues, cuja língua materna era o português, traduziram o instrumento para o português e participaram da síntese da tradução. Em seguida, dois tradutores cuja língua materna era o inglês realizaram a retrotradução. A validação de conteúdo foi realizada por um comitê de dez profissionais, que julgou as equivalências semântica, idiomática, cultural e conceitual de cada item do instrumento. O pré-teste da versão adaptada foi realizado com uma amostra de 40 pacientes. Resultados: Na tradução, foram identificadas três discrepâncias entre os tradutores, as quais foram resolvidas na fase de síntese da tradução. As duas retrotraduções confirmaram que a versão em português refletia fielmente o conteúdo da versão original. Na validação de conteúdo, a concordância média entre os avaliadores foi de 95%. Após o pré-teste, foram realizados ajustes, obtendo-se a versão brasileira do IAFCCP-br. Conclusão: O IAFCCP-br foi adaptado para o contexto brasileiro, após adaptação transcultural.
