The autobiographical pact: or bringing literary reading closer to life

This text proposes a discussion around the approximation between literature and autobiography, reflecting on the ethical consequences of this approximation. The main thesis defended here is that when exploring the promise of the autobiographical, it would be ideal to create an original discursive field corresponding to this contamination of genres. The reason is precisely because the literary text struggles for survival, and the appeal of real life is sometimes misused. It is necessary to bring literature closer to life. But in a way that rescues the reader from his anguished sense of unreality, caused exactly by this constant sale of the seal of the real, which happens without any sense of discursive originality.
