Importance of academic monitoring for the formation of the undergraduate: a study focused on the discipline of Differential and Integral Calculus

Abstract

The present research aimed to discuss the importance of academic monitoring during the training of undergraduate students. The methodology consisted of a bibliographic narrative review research with reflections and discussions about the theme addressed. Through this work, it was possible to perceive that academic monitoring is very important for the training of the undergraduate, as such activities contribute to their pedagogical practice to work in the educational area or in the school environment. The work showed that it is necessary to overcome the existing difficulties regarding the difficulties in learning Differential and Integral Calculus and that the insertion of technologies such as Geogebra contributes to the student's learning by allowing the visualization of graphs of functions. In addition to assisting in the understanding of concepts about the limit of functions, derivatives and the tangent line, integral related to areas of regions bounded by curves, among other issues, the student monitor has the opportunity to acquire these technological resources to complement their academic training, facilitating the articulation between theory and practice by using Geogebra in the classroom as an enhancing resource during the teaching and learning process.
