Abstract

This article aims to explore the work of French author Fernand Deligny (1913 - 1996), still little studied in Brazil, in his work with children on the autistic spectrum. The article shows the author's view of autism as well as humanity in general, analyzing his work “The Arachnian and Other Texts”. In his greatest work, the author and educator creates and offers a space where these children can exist freely, without anyone trying to bend them to the norm. Deligny presents a new way of looking at the autistic way of being, calling into question the idea we have of human and subject, and opening doors to think about other modes of existence that escape the action of the conscious human being.
