Sustainability and product durability have been central themes in the field of Design, especially in relation to the life cycle of products. This article seeks to identify in the literature how emotional bonds, emotional responses and pleasure influence the interaction between consumers and products, directly impacting their longevity, from the perspective of sustainability. By adopting an integrative review methodology, it was possible to synthesize and analyze in detail findings from previous studies on the subject. The study highlights three distinct categories: development of methods, models and tools; smart technological devices; and fashion with an emphasis on aesthetic and symbolic aspects. This emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach that integrates emotional, social and environmental aspects in creating more sustainable and durable design solutions.
