About the Journal

1 Objective

The journal Inova Jur (ISSN: 2965-6885) aims to disseminate research findings pertaining to the fields of Technology Information and Innovation thereby contributing to the recognition of scholarly works produced by both Brazilian and International researchers who investigate issues aligned with the thematic axes of the Journal. In this context submissions will be accepted in the form of articles reviews and commentary on jurisprudence that explores the intersection of Law with the ramifications introduced by emerging Technologies and the Information Society. For instance studies will be welcomed in the domains of Digital Law; Law 4.0; Law in the Information Society; Human Rights in the Digital Age; Law and the Internet; Surveillance Capitalism; Digital Justice; Data Colonialism; Protection of Personal Data in accordance with the LGPD; New social phenomena in the technological landscape and their legal implications; Algorithmic Governance; Critical Theories for understanding contemporary transformations; Right to Information and Privacy; Implementation of Fundamental Rights through Technology and Innovation; Impacts of new Technologies on Development and Sustainability; Biotechnologies; Posthumanism and Transhumanism; Cybercrime; Algorithmic Racism; Digital Communication; Virtual Reality; and Digital Education.

 

2 Focus and Scope

The journal Inova Jur focuses on the publication of works related to the subject of Technology Information and Innovation. The three axes of this theme can be studied together or in isolation. This seeks to democratize access to scientific and quality information for the general public (non-academic) contributing to the Development of society and realizing the social function of the public university.

 

3 Target Audience

The journal is open to publishing manuscripts authored by researchers professors master's students doctoral candidates post-doctoral researchers independent professor and undergraduate students provided that these works are co-authored by a graduate author and/or Other National and international researchers. Preference will be accorded to articles that demonstrate na innovative methodology which is clearly defined and appropriately applied to the study presented.

Furthermore efforts will be made to uphold gender equity in the publication of articles thereby contributing to the challenge against practices that render women scientists invisible.

Additionally to ensure a high QUALIS stratification with the CNPq and to adhere to the permanence regulations established by EDUEMG a minimum exogeny requirement will be enforced necessitating that eighty percent (80%) of published works be authored by individuals affiliated with institutions other than UEMG.

 

4 Periodicity

This is a biannual journal (Jan./Jun. and Jul./Dec.) published exclusively in electronic form with approved texts being published ahead of print when possible.

 

5 Open Access Policy and Creative Commons License

Revista Inova Jur does not charge any kind of fee for submitting processing or publishing articles. It adopts the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) as its licensing rights.

 

6 Plagiarism Detection Policy

The article review/review or jurisprudence comment submitted to Revista Inova Jur will previously undergo similarity verification by the Copy Spider plagiarism detection program or other similar program at the discretion of the editorial team in order to avoid the improper publication of material that to some extent reproduces excerpts or ideas from other documents without the necessary compliance with the norms of citations and bibliographic references. Thus when submitting the manuscript the authors assume that the work does not violate copyright or any other right being personally responsible in cases of plagiarism detection.

If plagiarism or a percentage greater than 15% of similarity has been detected excluding direct citations the authors will be given the opportunity to submit a new submission subject to prior alteration necessary to mischaracterize the plagiarism.

In the event of detection of plagiarism after publication in the journal the article review or jurisprudence commentary will be removed immediately from the journal's platform and its authors maybe held responsible for the act.
