Abstract

Based on the Sucupira Platform, managed by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), it is known that Higher Education in Brazil has undergone significant transformations in recent decades, especially with the increase in the number of women enrolled in postgraduate programs -graduation. Based on this information, this study aims to analyze the evolution between the years 2013 and 2022 of variations in the entry rates of women in master's and doctoral courses in the 5 regions of the country, as well as their access to areas historically dominated by men. : Exact and Earth Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Engineering. The aim is to draw a timeline of income and question whether there is a statistically significant increase or decrease in these areas. The methodology used for data collection was the selection of variables and the consideration of categories, the feminist perspective of the gender scholars who signed this text.

Author Biographies

Pamella Carvalho, UFSCAR

PhD student in Education at UFSCAR (Start Feb. 2022 / Expected end Feb. 2026). She has experience in the area of ​​Law, with an emphasis on Civil Law, having practiced law since 2006 to 2022. Professor of the subjects Civil Law, General Part, Contracts, Real, Family and Successions and Introduction to the Study of Law, in addition to Consumer Law. She coordinated the NPJ, in the years 2019 and 2020. She was a member of the Editorial Board of the Estação Científica Magazine (2019 to 2022). Undergraduate in Pedagogy (Start July/24). Graduated in Law - Faculdades Integradas Vianna Junior (2005). Postgraduate in Public Law from ANAMAGES (2007). Postgraduate in Public Health (2020). Postgraduate in Conciliation and Mediation (2021). Postgraduate degree in Civil Law and Civil Procedure (2022).

Dra. Daniela Auad, UFSCAR- So

Daniela Auad holds undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of São Paulo, School of Education (FEUSP). She is currently a tenured professor in the Postgraduate Program in Education at the School of Education of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (FACED/UFJF), in the area of ​​Labor, State and Social Movements. In the undergraduate program, she is responsible for subjects in the areas of Sociology of Education; Feminisms, Gender and Intersectionalities; State, Society and Education; Gender Relations and Education, from a feminist perspective. She completed her postdoctoral studies in the Department of Sociology at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2008. At the University of São Paulo (USP), she completed her PhD in Sociology of Education (2004), Master's in History and Philosophy of Education (1998) and Bachelor's in Pedagogy (1995). During her Scientific Initiation, Master's and Doctorate studies, she received funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). During her Doctorate, she completed a research internship in Paris, at the Institute for Research in Contemporary Sciences (IRESCO), associated with the CNRS and the University of Paris 8. She worked as a technical evaluator for the Special Coordination for Women of the Municipality of São Paulo and, as part of this role, was the coordinator of the first Gender Course for Educators of the Municipal Network of the City of São Paulo (2004). She is the author of the books Feminism: what is this story? (DP&A, 2003), Educating Girls and Boys: gender relations at school (Contexto, 2006), Gender and Public Policies: advances and challenges (Special Secretariat for Policies for Women & UCDB/MS, 2008); The Male and Female Teacher in the Face of Gender Relations in Physical Education at School (Cortez, 2012). Researcher at the UNESCO Chair, whose theme is Cultural Diversity, Gender and Borders, based at the Federal University of Grande Dourados, in Mato Grosso do Sul. And, at the Gender Observatory of the Government of the State of Minas Gerais, she is a representative of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. She is the leader and founder, alongside Professor Dr. Cláudia Regina Lahni, of Flores Raras: Educação, Comunicação e Feminismos, a Study and Research Group that, both at the University and within the scope of various Social Movements, develops activities of teaching, research, extension, debate, occupation, resistance and transformation. In 2017 and 2018, she was a Councilor of the State Council of Women of Minas Gerais, in the position of Notório Saber, and a representative at the Observatory of Gender Equality and Intersectionalities of the Government of the State of Minas Gerais.
