Complicações cardiovasculares associadas ao COVID-19

Resumo

A infecção respiratória desencadeada pelo Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) foi reportada inicialmente na cidade de Wuhan, China em dezembro de 2019 e em março de 2020 foi declarada como pandemia pela Organização Mundial de Saúde. A Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) é caracterizada por apresentar alta infectividade, alta capacidade de transmissão, mesmo durante a fase assintomática, e virulência relativamente baixa. Esta patologia gera repercussões primárias sobre o sistema respiratório, no entanto, pode gerar impactos sobre outros órgãos incluindo o sistema cardiovascular. Dentre as complicações cardiovasculares associadas ao COVID-19 podemos citar a miocardite / injúria miocárdica, síndrome coronariana aguda, insuficiência cardíaca, arritmias e trombose. Nesta revisão, temos por objetivo resumir as principais evidências sobre estas complicações cardiovasculares associadas à COVID-19.
