The use of digital technologies in a pandemic context: the experience of two literacy teachers
Abstract
The present article aims at analyzing the impacts of distant teaching in the literacy pedagogical practice, mainly concerning the use of digital technologies. For this purpose, two teachers working with 1st grade, in the year of 2020, were interviewed, one from a public school and the other from a private one. This is a qualitative research, whose main tool of data production was the semi-structured interview. The analyses enabled concluding that distant learning reveals a disparity between the teaching networks concerning the teaching processes and learning. Besides that, it highlighted that the teachers reorganized their plans and pedagogical strategies having as the main resources WhatsApp and Google Classroom. However, this process has not been developed similarly and it is somehow exclusionary for those children who do not have access to internet networks of good quality, especially the ones attending the public school.
