Desafiados pelo vírus: o ensino remoto de urbanismo

Abstract

When the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus was first identified, in late 2019, in a Chinese hospital, the ash trail it would leave could not be imagined. In Brazil, by the end of 2021, there were more than 600,000 deaths due to the disease associated with it, covid-19. Entire economic sectors were razed to the ground – and student piles remained away from the classroom for nearly two years. This article presents an experience report in the teaching of urbanism, in the so-called Remote Emergency Education, at the Federal University of Tocantins, during a covid-19 pandemic. This is a record of the endeavor that was to learn about and teach on virtual platforms, content that previously only worked in face-to-face teaching. From the adaptation of methodologies such as Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Equipment Based Learning (TBL), through readings, execution, digital workshops and activities focused on the virtual environment, it was possible to fulfill the mission, transmitting knowledge and motivating students.
