Abstract

The school's mission is to offer an education that allows the student to extrapolate the formal knowledge established in the curricula, becoming a conscious, critical, and creative citizen ready to live in a globalized society. In this sense, during the social withdrawal imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the great challenge of the school and the curricular components has been to motivate students to continue their studies at a distance. Thus, this text discusses two pedagogical proposals, implemented by the Portuguese language component with high school students, in 2020, in a state public school in the city of Belo Horizonte. These actions involved students in text production workshops and discussion forums, helping them to understand the dimensions related to language usage and reflection practices.

Maria Alice de Souza, Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais

Master in Education and Human Training at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (2019). Graduated in Letters from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1996), she has a specialization in Education, Media and Technologies from the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (2007). Currently she teaches Portuguese Language at the Escola Estadual Maria de Lourdes de Oliveira.
